UCEDC offers your business the opportunity to increase productivity, heighten global competitiveness and open new markets with our free training programs. We offer numerous business-oriented workshops, benefiting the start-up company as well as the more established operation. The topics of these seminars are current and deal with the latest issues facing businesses. Seminars include such subjects as Basics of Writing a Business Plan, Procurement Certification and Business Financial Literacy, to name a few. ISO 9001:2000 Training To assist businesses become more competitive in the global marketplace, UCEDC provides ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management Systems Training. This unique program, underwritten by a customized grant from the NJ Department of Labor, is an 18-month-long, intensive, hands-on training program that ultimately leads to ISO 9001 registration. The program includes both classroom instruction and on-site consultation. Businesses are urged to take advantage of this unique opportunity. More about ISO 9001:2000 training. Entrepreneurial Training UCEDC, in partnership with the NJ Development Authority (NJDA), offers the Entrepreneurial Training Institute to local entrepreneurs. This 8-week program assists business owners create a formal business plan and learn the basics of operating a business. Classroom instructors, along with facilitators, address such issues as business planning, financing and marketing. Completion of the program may lead to outside financing. More information.
