These free two-hour workshops address a variety of business concerns for both start-up entrepreneurs and established business owners. They are offered throughout New Jersey, often in cooperation with partner organizations and agencies that share our commitment to small business growth. Learn more.
This intensive six-week training program is offered in partnership with the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA). With sessions targeted specifically to start-ups and established businesses, you'll get the help you need, both in the classroom and out, to survive and thrive in any economy. UCEDC loan clients and ETI graduates receive free individualized business counseling. Your UCEDC business mentor is your board of directors, CFO, and marketing manager, all rolled into one. Your mentor meets with you at your convenience, acts as your sounding board, and offers feedback, advice and suggestions to keep your business on track.
This unique program, underwritten by a grant from the New Jersey Department of Labor, is a year-long quality management systems training designed to make businesses more competitive globally. ISO 9001 certification confirms that a company has established internal processes and procedures to consistently and efficient produce a product or provide a service that meets customer requirements. This intensive, hands-on program combines classroom instruction and on-site consultation, leading to ISO 9001 certifcation.
