Finance
UCEDC offers financing to fit a variety of business needs. From a microloan for a start-up venture to gap financing for an established company, UCEDC provides access to capital that may not be available elsewhere.
- Microloans up to $35,000 for start-up and existing businesses
- Business Growth Fund loans up to $150,000
- Childcare loans up to $35,000 for home and center-based childcare programs
- Debt refinancing loans up to $20,000
- Loan packaging assistance
Contracting with the Government
Government agencies spend billions of dollars each year purchasing goods and services from small businesses. UCEDC's Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) helps Union County, NJ businesses enter this market.
Technical Assistance
UCEDC wants to see your business succeed. We offer numerous business-oriented workshops benefiting the start-up company as well as the more established operation.
- ISO 9000:2001 is a quality management systems training designed to make businesses more competitive globally.
- Technical Assistance: UCEDC partners with various like-minded organizations to bring up-to-date and comprehensive trainings to the community of small business owners. Subjects range from business basics to Quickbooks training, and all are free.
- Business Mentoring: all UCEDC clients are entitled to a business mentor, one-on-one business counseling customized to meet the specific needs of your business.
